South Korea became an aged society in 2017 and is predicted to become a super-aged society by 2025. Despite the remarkable rise of technology and the economy, South Korea is now facing a threat with a sad episode that has to do with our forgotten generation.

About half of South Korea’s elders lives in poverty among the developed nations, and their options are very slim. The tradition of their children caring for the old is fading away amid high living costs.

We visited a grandma who lives alone in the old shanty town of Seoul to capture her typical days but uncertain life.
